Catherine Anne

 ACatherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born March 4 1954. She is a comedian from Canada actor, writer, and actress. O'Hara has been awarded a variety of awards that include the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award) as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was appointed an Officer of Canada. She was also awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara first drew notice as an actor in the year 1974 as an actor in The Second City improvisational comedy troupe in Toronto. She was a part of the principal ensemble cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) together with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. In the next year, O'Hara and Candy began work on the sketch comedy program Second City Television (1976-1984) in which she received praise from critics for her performance as a comedic actress and as a writer, winning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for an Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara was named to the Second City artistic advisory panel in 2022 by Stephen Colbert.
