Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran was a speaker, investor, and businesswoman from the United American. The Corcoran Group is a New York-based real estate brokerage. In 2001, the company was sold to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran quit the firm within a short time. One of the show's original "Shark" investors, Corcoran has appeared in every season of ABC's Shark Tank until now. She has participated in 53 deals since February 2020. The most significant was a $350,000 investment that will provide 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was born in Edgewater, New Jersey, the youngest of 10 children from a working class Irish Catholic family. Florence Corcoran's mom, was a homemaker. Her father, Edwin W. Corcoran Jr., bounced from job to job during Corcoran's childhood. At times, the family depended on free food delivery from a nearby grocery store. Corcoran recalls her father being an alcohol-dependent drunkard who often treated her mother with disrespect and disrespect, particularly after having consumed alcohol. Corcoran had difficulty in school, and later found out that she was dyslexic. She attended a local Catholic elementary school, and then began high school in St. Cecilia High School in Englewood. Corcoran completed her studies at Leonia High School with a degree in English after not completing several classes in her freshman years.
