Kamala Harris

Kamala Devi Harris was born on the 20th of October, 1964. She is an American politician. Kamala Devi Harris is the first female to be elected vice president, and also holds the title of highest-ranking female officer in American history. As a member the Democratic Party, she was the former attorney general of California from 2011 to 2017 and an United States senator representing California in 2017-2021. Harris was born in Oakland and attended Howard University, University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Harris began her career at the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. She was then appointed to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. In 2003 she was elected San Francisco District Attorney. She was elected Attorney-General of California in 2010 and was elected again in 2014. Harris served as the junior United States senator from California between 2017 and 2021. Harris beat Loretta Sanchez in the 2016 Senate election, becoming the 2nd African American woman and the first South Asian American to serve in the United States Senate. She was a senator who worked for health care and federal de-scheduling of cannabis. A path to citizenship for undocumented migrants. The DREAM Act bans assault weapons and progressive tax reform.
