Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She served this role from 2021-2022. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009); the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011); the spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013-2015); and the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki was an election contributor to CNN between 2017 and 2020. Psaki began her career with the 2001 re-election campaigns Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack, both Democrats for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was John Kerry's deputy press secretary in 2004. Psaki served from 2005 to 2006 as communications director to Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 for political communication serving as the press secretary of President Obama’s 2012 election campaign. [20] Psaki was named as spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11 13. [20] She was hired by the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21However, Josh Earnest took his place on May 30, 2014. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the communications director, and she remained there until the end of Obama's presidency.
